AI video prompts work best when they describe a shot that could be planned on a real set. The model needs to know what is in frame, what changes over time, how the camera behaves, and what visual rules should remain consistent.
Use this framework for both text-to-video and image-to-video generation. With an uploaded image, spend fewer words recreating the appearance and more words directing motion and preservation.

The SCOPE prompt framework
Use five prompt blocks:
- S — Shot: framing, viewpoint, and lens feel.
- C — Character or subject: the main visual focus and defining details.
- O — Objective motion: the action that occurs during the clip.
- P — Place and physics: environment, weather, light, and physical reactions.
- E — Execution: camera movement, pace, style, and preservation constraints.
Example:
Medium close-up of a chef plating a finished dish. The chef places the final garnish and slides the plate toward the camera. Steam rises naturally and warm kitchen lights reflect on the sauce. Slow stabilized push-in, realistic food commercial photography, shallow depth of field, natural hand movement.

Portrait and people prompts
1. Subtle portrait animation
Medium close-up portrait. The subject blinks naturally, breathes, and turns slightly toward the window as a light breeze moves a few strands of hair. Locked camera with a very slow push-in. Preserve facial identity, age, hairstyle, clothing, and background.
2. Fashion walk
Full-body fashion shot of a model walking confidently through a minimal concrete gallery. Fabric responds naturally to each step. Low front tracking camera at a steady speed, soft directional daylight, premium editorial photography, consistent face and outfit.
3. Quiet emotional beat
Close-up of a person reading a letter beside a rainy window. Their expression shifts from uncertainty to a restrained smile. Raindrops move down the glass behind them. Slow cinematic push-in, soft side light, natural skin texture, no dramatic head movement.
Product and advertising prompts
4. Studio product reveal
Macro-to-medium product reveal of a [product] on a dark reflective surface. A narrow light moves across the material while the camera makes a small clockwise orbit. Preserve exact product geometry, color, label, and logo. Premium studio commercial look.
5. Beverage shot
Close shot of a cold drink as condensation forms and a single droplet travels down the glass. Ice shifts slightly and soft bubbles rise. Locked camera, bright backlight, crisp beverage advertising photography, accurate label and glass shape.
6. Vehicle commercial
Low tracking shot of a performance car moving through a wet city street at night. Tire spray catches the storefront light while reflections travel across the bodywork. Smooth stabilized camera, realistic speed, preserve vehicle design and proportions.

Action and cinematic prompts
7. Desert pursuit
Wide shot of an off-road vehicle racing across a desert basin during a sandstorm. Suspension reacts to uneven ground and a dense dust trail follows. Side tracking camera with controlled shake, warm backlight, realistic action cinematography.
8. Fantasy character reveal
A lone armored traveler steps through drifting ash at the edge of a volcanic valley. Their cloak moves in the hot wind as distant lava lights the armor. Slow pull-back revealing the landscape, cinematic fantasy realism, stable character design.
9. Continuous hallway shot
A courier moves quickly through a crowded futuristic market corridor while protecting a small package. The camera tracks backward at chest height in one continuous shot. People react naturally and signs glow through light fog. Energetic but stabilized motion.
Travel and lifestyle prompts
10. City travel vlog
Handheld travel-vlog shot following a visitor through a quiet Kyoto lane at early evening. Paper lanterns turn on as bicycles pass in the background. Natural walking pace, gentle camera movement, warm practical light, authentic documentary texture.
11. Coastal morning
Wide coastal landscape at sunrise. A runner moves along the waterline while waves leave reflective patterns on the sand. Slow parallel tracking shot, soft pastel sky, natural atmospheric depth, calm commercial lifestyle look.
12. Cafe detail sequence
Close-up of coffee being poured into a ceramic cup beside a window. Steam curls upward and morning light moves across the table. Slow macro push-in, shallow depth of field, realistic liquid motion, quiet editorial mood.

Social and creative prompts
13. Three-second visual hook
Extreme close-up of a plain paper sketch. Colored lines rapidly assemble into a polished three-dimensional product while the camera pulls back. Clean bright studio, precise transformation, centered composition, space for text above the subject.
14. Seamless loop
A translucent fabric ribbon circles a perfume bottle and returns exactly to its starting position. Locked camera, smooth continuous motion, soft gradient-free studio lighting, accurate bottle geometry, seamless looping final frame.
15. Before-and-after transition
The camera moves through a dark unfinished room. As it passes the center, the space transforms into a bright completed interior while architecture remains aligned. Smooth forward camera motion, realistic materials, consistent perspective, clean transition.
Negative instructions that add value
Use negative constraints only for likely failures. Helpful examples are "preserve facial identity," "keep product geometry unchanged," "no additional people," and "locked camera." Generic lists containing dozens of defects can dilute the main instruction.
For image-to-video prompts, explicitly protect details already present in the image. For text-to-video prompts, spend that space defining the subject and composition.
How to revise prompts systematically
Classify the failure before editing:
- appearance: improve subject and environment description;
- composition: change shot size or camera position;
- motion: use clearer verbs and environmental reactions;
- camera: remove conflicting moves and specify speed;
- consistency: reduce movement and strengthen preservation anchors;
- timing: simplify the action or split it into multiple shots.

Keep a small prompt library organized by shot purpose rather than by model. Models change, but the underlying language of subjects, actions, cameras, light, and continuity remains useful.
